Actually people like Bernie just fine. All the evidence points to a sizable subset of people swinging because they suddenly viewed Biden as “more electable.” And I made all the reasons for this clear.

In February Bernie was the leader and not just because of the crowded field. There were polls showing him leading all the other candidates head-to-head. The closest was Warren. Joe next, down by 5–8 pts. at least IIRC. The consolidation of the field around Joe had a huge effect on the electability narrative. 30 percent of Super Tuesday voters didn’t make up their minds until the last second and Joe one those votes due to this manufactured narrative of “electability.”

That’s what happened. It had nothing to do with whether people like Bernie or his policies. His favorability rating remains high and he continues to be the highest rated on general traits, like honesty and authenticity. Joe leads in leadership.

A lot of people aren’t paying attention too closely. They just want someone who can beat Trump. They hear the experts saying Joe is the guy and they picked him.
