A larger percentage of Clinton voters defected to McCain in 2008, Bernie went all out campaigning for her, third-party votes weren’t high enough to actually influence the outcome in states that mattered, Clinton’s campaign made massive strategic errors because they assumed it would be a cakewalk, and Clinton was a largely unpopular candidate. James Comey was inarguably more responsible for Hillary’s loss than Bernie or his supporters, and liberals ended up hero-worshipping him because he “stood up to Trump,” which leads me to believe all this waving the bloody shirt over 2016 has more to do with trying to delegitimize progressives because centrists fundamentally disagree with left politics.
