Aren’t most Democrats in the Senate and House not also spineless and conciliatory? For example, they put all their energy into impeachment while quietly confirming his federal court picks, who will be deciding major cases over the next four decades or so.
In December while all the media was caught up in the doomed spectacle of impeachment, the Senate confirmed 23 federal judges to lifetime appointments.
So I don’t really understand the ire I’m getting for potentially choosing to abstain in my worthless vote in one of the safest states in the country. Shouldn’t you be mad at all these Senators abstaining or crossing the line to confirm judges who will be making decisions for my entire life?
From where I’m sitting, if the Democrats can’t be bothered to actually fight the Republican agenda effectively, then why the hell should I feel like I have to show up to elect these weak cowards, Dick?
Maybe it’s enough for you that Nancy Pelosi rips up a speech or some other performative gesture. But I want a politician who fights.
