As for the Klan being in Vidor, the business cards I found in Gary’s listed a Mauriceville address. I mean if you want to split hairs here. I did go to a party up in North Vidor by the river and some kid had access to a klan robe just lying around.
I’ve also done research on extremist networks using social media and identified people still living in Vidor using signals identifying them with white power peckerwood gangs. One of my classmates Kenny Stanley is doing a life bit for a contract murder he committed as a member of the Solid Wood Soldiers (technically based in Silsbee). I recall when those daytime talk shows were filming in the Julie Rogers theater, one of the guys speaking up for the Klan had a Lone Star Feed hat, which was literally a block from my home.
I can go on, but you get the point.
