I actually think there are ways AOC could use her star power to effect change at least within the party apparatus, but it would require her to really challenge the old guard party leadership, like Pelosi, in a meaningful way.
I don’t think she’s going to do that. In her early days, she was more willing to, but now I think she’s thinking more in terms of her committee appointments and future Senate/presidential runs.
That’s how they get you. They make you think that if you play the game you eventually will get to be in a position where you can do all the things you want, but the house always wins.
