I agree with calling it wealth hoarding and that an intervention is needed, but I have a problem with the metaphor because it implies an individual pathology is to blame. Even if every owner and boss were enlightened, it wouldn’t change the fundamentals of capitalism which entails exploitation of labor and accumulation of wealth.

The system itself engenders callousness and amorality in the bosses. The anarchist Mikhail Bakunin made this point 150 years ago that capitalism makes prisoners of us all, boss and worker alike, degrading us and corroding our humanity. All human relationships are reduced to coercive, unequal exchanges
