Mike Cernovich has no reputation to ruin
He has nothing to lose—except for his Twitter account
The Art of War is the type of book guys like Mike Cernovich like to say they’ve read. It can usually be found on the their bookshelves wedged in between 48 Laws of Power and 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
Not to imply that Mike is some kind of strategic genius, but he is actually a great example of a principle that Sun Tzu explores in Chapter 8:
The art of war teaches us to rely not on the chance the enemy will not attack, but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable.
Cernovich is immune to attack in the context of the particular type of warfare he engages in—flinging shit— because he’s neck deep in it already.
After his most recent stunt—getting Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn fired for some old tweets—everyone was hitting back by tweeting out worse things that Cernovich had said. It’s a useless exercise because everyone already knows he’s a rapey, misogynist cretin.
It’s kind of his brand.
