My holding back my vote does literally nothing. Symbolically casting my vote for a “lesser evil,” which could turn out to be a billionaire who bought the election or the tough-on-crime anti-choice “Senator from MBNA” isn’t “fight fascism” either. Just because you have an utterly impoverished view of what politics means — i.e. you think the only options are voting in an election where my vote is nullified by an archaic system or doing nothing — that doesn’t entitle you to lecture me. If it’s going to be symbolic I’d rather have it symbolize a vote of no confidence in a system you acknowledge is broken, so either come up with an actual legitimate argument that haven’t addressed in full or kick rocks.
