Politico took a call script that one volunteer uploaded to a regional campaign Slack channel and presented it as official policy. The campaign’s actual policy—as attested to by training documents and literally thousands of other volunteers—is to never go negative on Warren or any other candidate.

The only quote in the story is an anonymous volunteer who said as much, but Politico edited it to make it sound like they were basically validating that this was an official policy approved from the top.

Warren took this trumped-up horseshit as an opportunity to slime Bernie Sanders, and put out a “I’m so shocked Bernie would do this to me” press release.

Sounds pretty manufactured to me (and any other reasonable person).

Warren was always my second choice. I liked her because I thought she was genuinely about something and had integrity. Now I’m not so sure.
