The average welder makes 19 dollars an hour and that’s with 10–20 years experience

The fact is for most jobs in the 21st century you need a college degree. You say you didn’t go to college, then what do you do for a living? How did you get that position? I have a college degree and 10+ years of experience as a writer and editor and it’s still hard to find a job in my field. Usually people who say privilege isn’t real and everyone else should just suck it up and bootstrap themselves are privileged.

The same goes with people who say I didn’t go to college/dropped out and I’m just fine. There’s always something they leave out of their personal myth.
