This question is essentially: Do you support reforming capitalism or do you support reforming capitalism?
Expropriating and nationalizing a segment of the economy while leaving the rest of capital untouched is still a reformist position, and is fundamentally premised on the idea that we can vote socialism into existence.
I and other members of the Nurturing Connections Slate want democratic workers' control over all of the economy and members of Socialist Alternative do, too. I don't see why you're framing a question over strategy as being one of principles or ideology.
