To the extent that these people ever use data to back up their case, it’s always ludicrously misinterpreted. Peterson cited a study that found 19 percent of sociologists identified as Marxists. Honestly I’m surprised it’s not higher. Marx founded conflict perspective, one of the three main schools of sociology.

He always tries to draw an absurd false equivalence with the far-right, “Marx killed 100 million! More than Hitler! Can you imagine teaching Mein Kampf in school!?!”

It just shows at heart he’s a close-minded reactionary, who, if he ever did have power he would most definitely suppress views he disagrees with.

Same with TPUSA/Campus Reform and their McCarthyite professor watch lists. Their junior fascist end game is to take over student governments with Koch money so they can defund every left wing group in the country while claiming to stand for “diversity of ideas.”
