Well if you’re really interested in why I wrote this, then why don’t you read the whole thing? Geoffrey Elfwick isn’t the point. I’ve been meaning to write an article about the alt-right’s inability to do satire for a while, but there aren’t really many good concrete examples because the right can’t do satire.
Elfwick is really unremarkable and uninteresting but the topic itself is worth exploring, and if you had read the article—you obviously haven’t—you would see that I’m making a case that it says something about the right’s worldview and intellectual laziness.
I actually think most of the alt-right is incredibly boring, unimaginative, etc. on an individual level, but it’s worth studying and understanding. Maybe when the right takes the time to study the left as much, you can write a decent satire, but until then, keep on laughing how idiotic (you think) things are because you half-comprehend them. See where it gets you.
