We’re talking about 10 million people who are swing voters (I said 10% earlier. It’s really 7%) of that 10 million maybe 2 million actually live in battleground states. (If I’m being generous).
There are 112 million people who did not vote in the last election. If Bernie increases turnout by just a few percent it will by far outweigh any conservative voters that were turned off because they are scared of “socialism” (see below)
The meat of what we are talking about is whether Sanders should moderate his platform to appease independents in the middle.
I’ve shown he doesn’t have to. Polls show he beats Trump in every battleground state Clinton lost even when respondents are given a simulated attack ad. He polls better with independents than Clinton ever did.
The only thing really standing between him and the presidency is the DNC. Trump will be easy
