- One is a billionaire oligarch who bought his way into the primary. He spent 10 years terrorizing black youth in New York City. His company also had a pervasive culture of sexual harassment, including rape and other forms of violence against women
- One is Bernie Sanders.
3. The majority of people who vote consistently are upper class. The majority who don’t vote are people of color and the poor. The majority of people who support Bernie Sanders are people of color and women.
The reason why you’re trying to make this about me being white and male is to obscure your own privilege as a middle class white lady who would be fine under any circumstances. You perpetuate this myth that all Bernie Sanders supporters are white men to rationalize your inexplicable hatred for him, but in doing so you erase the will of millions of women and people of color.
Does that make you feel good about yourself? Does that make you some kind of woke feminist ally.
You only pretend to care about people of color when you need to weaponize them against people like me, a person with a disability who spends half his income on rent and is barely above the federal poverty line.
While you’ll be fine no matter who wins—Trump, Bloomberg, Biden—I make $1,600 after tax and if I have a medical emergency, I will be destitute because my deductible under Obamacare is $5,000. I got skin in this here game. I need Medicare for All. I need Bernie Sanders to win, so spare me your self-righteous indignation, Becky.
